WHAT IS KMS?
KMS is Microsoft's new Activation System being employed for Office 2010.
KMS Activation is only good for 180 days, at which point, it is necessary to reactivate (contact the KMS Server).

(There are tons of half-ass "Hacks" out there, by people who love to claim their "Programming Skill", but all do the same crap, post info. about it, does no real activation, tease people of the "Possibilities", and are nothing but a few codes using Command Prompt. Trust me, they have been bragging since Office 2010 was leaked, and still no progress. Don't waste your time, KMS and MAK are proven to work. This is why i only post these 2 options. If you are interested in those, they are easy to find using Google, I will not support "Supposed" Cracks. I don't recommend installing Retail because it's a pain in the butt to activate. Retail must be activated with a Genuine Serial. You also need a Genuine Serial for installation. Not only is it hard to find a Genuine Key, but there's a continued possibility that even if you do find a working Genuine Key, that it may be blacklisted anytime in the future, and that can be days, weeks, or months.

Each Key is identifiable, traceable, trackable, and has activation limits.

Why deal with such drama? You can avoid all of this and install "Retail Volume". I know it's not as sexy as "Retail", but it's the same thing. "Retail Volume" is distributed mainly for large corporations. With "Retail Volume", you can activate with KMS which bypasses the need for Validation, and IMO, is the best and most reliable method. It produces Genuine/Unique Activations, leaves no trace or file behind, thus nearly impossible for M$ to detect.

Seems to have worked all ok.
Had some drama with Win7 security but got there in the end.
If anyone has similar problems running CMD as administrator seems to work though I had to play with the permissions for the activation and keygen files and make sure administrator had access to them.
